O presente artigo apresenta resultados de estudos que tem por objetivo fornecer informações sobre o êxodo rural na região Nordeste, visando incentivar as organizações governamentais a promover movimentos sociais no campo que priorize o pequeno agricultor a desenvolver suas atividades agrÃcolas. Entre as causas desse processo, a falta de emprego e o poder atrativo que as cidades exercem sobre a população rural, são as mais frequentes. Diante disso, as informações apresentadas neste trabalho serão de fundamental relevância para a criação de polÃticas públicas visando o aperfeiçoamento do pequeno agricultor com técnicas agrÃcolas.
This article presents results of studies which aims to provide information on the rural exodus in the Northeast, aiming to encourage government organizations to promote social movements in the field that prioritizes small farmers to develop their agricultural activities. Among the causes of this process, the lack of jobs and the attractive power that cities have on the rural population, are the most frequent. Therefore, the information presented in this paper will be of key importance for the creation of public policies for the improvement of small farmers with agricultural techniques.
