Nossa proposta é analisar os procedimentos estilísticos do denominado documentário poético e “não narrativo” da série de curtas-metragens Ritmos do Trabalho: uma poética visual, dirigidos por Elisa Cabral e Laurita Caldas entre 2000 e 2005, que diferem de outros modos de representação do real dominante na produção paraibana cuja tônica é a narrativa. São filmes que fazem uso expressivo das imagens capturadas do real, enfatizando sua dimensão plástica, padrões de forma e cor, trabalhando mais os afetos e as impressões do que uma retórica ou relatos narrativos sobre o mundo histórico.
Our proposal is to analyze the stylistic proceduresof the so-calledpoetic documentary and "no narrative"in the series of short films Rhythms of Work: a poetic visual, directed by Elisa CabralandLaurita Caldas between 2000 and 2005 that differ from other modes of representation of the real dominant in the Paraiba production whose emphasis is on narrative. These are films that make significant useof the captured imagesof the real, emphasizing its plastic dimension, shape and color patterns, and giving more attention to the feelings and impressions rather than to a rhetorical or narrative reports about the historical world.
